About
If your children are long-time patients with us, you already know what makes Bravo Pediatrics unique.
Training
All of our pediatricians have trained at top-notch institutions ( UCSF, Stanford, UCLA, UCSD, Case Western, Georgetown) and are Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Whether the reason for your visit is simple or complex, we bring that training into the room when we see your child. We also value education and teaching, and we are a valued site for many distinguished teaching programs. On some days we may be accompanied by Resident physicians, PA/NP students/ medical students and even pre-meds exploring the field of medicine. We follow the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for care.
Small, intimate practice
We are a “small office”, and intend to stay that way. We pride ourselves on our relationships with the patients and families in our practice. We want you to feel known and valued. That’s the ethos of the Central Coast!
We are on staff at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center, which boasts San Luis Obispo County’s only Inpatient Pediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Though we treat a variety of conditions in our office, we can call on the expertise of regional and tertiary specialists as needed.
Resources
We maintain same-day availability for urgent visits, and will help you to understand whether and when your child should be seen. For after-hours needs, we have a telephone triage system, with a pediatrician on-call as needed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Availability
When you call for appointments and advice, we have a highly experienced registered nurse answering your calls. We use well recognized protocols (Barton-Schmitt) for telephone advice and if we don’t have the answer we will try to find it for you.
RN Phone Advice
Drs. Bravo and Szytel speak Spanish, as do members of our office staff. We enjoy the diversity of our patients and their families.

We know that living in San Luis Obispo county is a privilege, and we advocate for the children in our community. We support the First Five Commission, Partnership for the Children, Women’s Shelter Program, Family Care Network, and the San Luis Obispo County Medical Association.
