About My Practice
I consider it an honor to serve as a member of our local medical community. I first realized my true calling in life was to become a nurse with the birth of my nephew. I began my journey to become a Registered Nurse at the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Nursing where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing, while working at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in the Emergency and Trauma Department. After graduation, I returned home to the Central Coast to work as a Registered Nurse at Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center in the Neurological Intensive Care Unit. My desire to further my education lead me back to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. During my clinical rotation at Bravo Pediatrics, I quickly realized that I wanted to be part of this amazing team! I am beyond thrilled to care for the children of this community, where I was born and raised.
I also believe that children are precious unique gifts that should be nurtured to their fullest potential. My goal is to establish reciprocal relationships between families and their children based on open-ended communication and evidence based research that focuses on education, health promotion, wellness, and prevention of illness. I hope to be an ally to parents as they navigate the journey of parenthood while encouraging children to also take an active role in their own health and wellbeing.
On a Personal Note
I am a local to the central coast, born in San Luis Obispo and raised in Paso Robles. After leaving briefly to attend college I returned to San Luis Obispo where I married the love of my life. We have a beautiful blended family of three children and enjoy living the country life in Santa Margarita. Our free time as a family is filled with hiking, raising animals, and playing near the spring fed creek behind our house. I aim to live a healthy and active lifestyle and enjoy running marathons, swimming, and yoga, which aligns with my professional philosophy as a nurse practitioner promoting health and wellness.
Thank you for entrusting me with your children.
