About My Practice
Welcome to Bravo Pediatrics, and my personal homepage. I became a proud member of the Bravo Pediatrics team in 2010. As a pediatrician, I believe my role is to help my patients and their parents follow their path to health. This includes not only navigating the bumps and bruises all children have in their path through childhood, but also preventative care as well as reinforcing a lifestyle of healthy diet and exercise. I also have a passion for promoting literacy. We applied and were accepted to the Reach Out and Read program in 2015. (http://www.reachoutandread.org/). The Reach Out and Read program is a nationwide organization founded on the principle that by “prescribing” books at our well check visits; we can promote those language-rich experiences between parents and their young children that promote early brain development. I am proud to say that to date, we have “prescribed” almost 10,000 books!
On a Personal Note
I grew up in the Bay Area and attended UC San Diego where I obtained a BS degree in Chemistry. During my college years, my electives and student research with language-impaired children piqued my interest in pediatrics. I attended medical school at Case Western Reserve University and while I enjoyed the four seasons Ohio offers, I was eager to return to California. I met my wonderful husband at medical school and we both moved to Los Angeles to continue our training. I did my pediatrics residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and then spent several years as a neonatal hospitalist at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center. After a year in San Diego working in pediatric urgent care and the birth of our son, we moved up to the beautiful Central Coast area and I had the good fortune to start working at Bravo Pediatrics. I have thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to take care of the children of the Central Coast and have since been blessed by the birth of our daughter.
